Hello + Welcome
My name is Marisa Leibfarth, owner of Leibfarth Photography.

I've loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember.  (you can see me in the above slideshow at 10 years old carting my camera bag to school) I can't imagine how many rolls of film my mother was forced to have developed for me as a child. I took pictures of EVERYTHING. Flowers, the neighbors cat, buildings, and selfies before selfie-ing was cool.

In 2013 I got my first opportunity to really learn some skills working as an assistant at Heartland Park Racetrack for Daryl's Photos. Photographing cars just wasn't doing it for me though, I needed people in front of my lens! In 2015 I completed my education through the New York Institute of Photography and continue to learn more every time I pick up my camera.  My ultimate goal has always been to capture raw, candid moments. I believe that's why I love photographing weddings so much. There is so much laughter, tears, joy, and love captured throughout the day. I try to incorporate those natural moments into my family photography as well. While a nice posed portrait is always included I also try to capture the family in fun, unscripted, playful moments.

Although photography was probably my first love, being a mother is definitely my greatest joy in life.  I am a proud, PROUD, mama of the cutest 3-year-old on the planet (Okay so I'm a little biased) and this year we added our beautiful fur-baby, Midnight, to the family. I've been so blessed to be a stay at home mom while pursuing my lifelong dream of being a photographer and I'm so thankful for my family & friends support every step of the way.

Some other facts about me:
I love to dance and will probably be in the corner busting it out while photographing your wedding reception.
I am a total bookworm, I have probably only read half of the ones I own because I can't stop buying all the ones amazon refers.
I have lived in 3 different countries.
If you love pizza, chocolate, and netflix we might be best friends.
I can't touch cotton balls, fleece, or anything with a similar yucky texture.
My mama is my best friend
